WSDL Tutorial

In this WSDL tutorial, you'll learn how to:
  • Create a WSDL (Web Service Definition Language) document from scratch in Stylus Studio
  • Connect to a web service, save the WSDL file locally, and send a SOAP request to the web service

You can do all this in Stylus Studio. It's easy to directly manipulate the WSDL components using the Sense:X Intelligent XML editing features of Stylus Studio. The steps you will take to attain these objectives are as follows:

  • Create a WSDL document using the Web Service Call Composer
  • Associate ports with the service
  • Associate a connection address to a binding
  • Add Input and Output messages, as well as their associated parameters
  • Add messages to operations
  • Define the binding type
  • Validate the WSDL file to check its status and use any resulting prompt to help complete the WSDL file
